The 2023-2024 Equity-Grounded Leadership (EGL) Fellow Program was revised based on the results and feedback from the Pilot Cohort.
Throughout the Pilot Cohort, the EGL Program and Evaluation Teams actively solicited input from Fellows to gather their feedback. This valuable input was carefully considered, and when relevant, adjustments were made to enhance the program’s structure for the 2023-2024 Cohort.
About the 2023-2024 Fellow Cohort
The 2023-2024 EGL Fellow Program Cohort began their journey in September 2023. Throughout their 11-month program, the cohort will explore how to collectively influence others to create communities rooted in resilience and healing. The cohort concludes in August 2024.
The 2023-2024 Cohort is composed of 20 behavioral health leaders. They are leaders with backgrounds that include adolescent care, faith-based services, community mental health treatment, peer services, behavioral health crisis care, local government services, and more.
The Shared Vision
The 2023-2024 Cohort developed a shared vision for their time together:
“We envision a united and ongoing commitment to inspire and empower our neighborhoods and communities, fostering bravery to drive radical and meaningful transformation while breaking down tools of oppression. Together, we co-create a behavioral health system that promotes wellness and equitable opportunities for all individuals, envisioning a future where every voice is valued, visibility is heightened, and gifts of humanity thrive.”
Collaborative Projects
One of the most impactful components of the Equity-Grounded Leadership Fellow Program is creating and implementing collaborative projects to improve equity in behavioral health systems and services in Fellows’ organizations, communities, and/or regions. Fellows are working to design and implement these projects with the support of project advisors and the evaluation team.
Additional information about each project will become available as Fellows continue their development and implementation of their collaborative projects.
